The MiFID II, effective from January 3, 2018, significantly changed the rules governing investment research. If you are an individual or a legal entity that does not provide investment service of asset management or independent investment advice, MiFID II requirements do not apply to you.
If your company based in the European Economic Area (EEA) provides investment service of asset management or independent investment advice under MiFID II, you will have to i) make direct payments of your own resources or ii) make payments from a separate account that is funded by a specific research charge to the client. Therefore, starting January 3, 2018, in-scope entities will have to pay for the investment research provided by Komerční banka, a.s. under a formal contractual agreement related to the provision of investment recommendations. If the MiFID II applies to you, please contact us on email@example.com.
